Chasing Rainbows

Last night I saw a double rainbow. It was the strangest setting. It hadn't rained and the clouds were really dark...not the type of climate a rainbow usually comes in at all. But they were the most vibrant rainbows I have ever seen. They were beautiful. I always carry my camera in my purse, but of course last night I had left it sitting on the dining room table. Bummer. But anyway...seeing that last night i was just overcome with such a sense of hope. I think God created rainbows for that very reason. It was after the flood he gave Noah a rainbow and promised he would not do it again. Hope for a better tomorrow. I always have the hardest time expressing in words what God is doing in my heart, but right now I just know that he is telling me there is hope. Hope in despair. Hope in the good times. Hope in the bad. Hope that things in my life are going to be different than what I think. I thank God for rainbows.
